1440 PROGRAM
KOSSUTH COUNTY SHERIFF
Kossuth County Sheriff Roger Fisher initiated the new “1440” program in early 2021. This program is designed to promote a positive work environment and recognizes employees within the office that strive to develop a positive attitude and treat co-workers and citizens with respect.
The term “1440” stands for the number of minutes in a 24 hour day and the number of opportunities we all have to be respectful, caring, trustworthy, and positive every minute of every day.
Sheriff Fisher initiated this program for the employees and then in June of 2021 expanded it to the citizens of Kossuth County. The “1440 Citizen of the Month” program is designed to recognize a citizen from Kossuth County that demonstrates a positive attitude and for being kind, caring, and respectful toward others… all which make a positive impact on the communities of Kossuth County!
This program is sponsored by Hy-Vee and Casey’s of Algona and the local media outlets of KLGA Hometown Radio, The Kossuth County Advance, The Bancroft Register, and the Swea City Herald-Press. Each month a citizen is selected from nominations and receives a certificate, gift certificates from Hy-Vee and Casey’s, and recognition in the listed media outlets!
You can nominate a person by emailing Sheriff Fisher at: rfisher@kossuthcounty.iowa.gov
Or by filling out a nomination form on the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page.
